Alaskan Moose and Black Bear

by: Robert Bradley

An Alaskan hunt is an amazing experience. While the rush and enjoyment of hunting can be obtained by hunting almost any animal almost anywhere in the world, the sheer challenge of Alaska itself is enough to transcend practically anything even an expert hunter has done before. From the trip north to Alaska and flying over thousands of acres and hundreds of miles of untouched wilderness in a small plane in search of the best animal to landing, making camp and then tracking down the animal, hunting in Alaska is nothing short of amazing. Robert Bradley made the trip north a while back looking for massive moose, big bear and more, and in more ways than one, got more than he expected!

Our good friend Phil Dalrymple called one night and asked if I would like to apply for an Alaska Goat tag with him. My husband had successfully harvested a beautiful goat in Wyoming a few years earlier, so Phil was looking for a hunting partner to hunt Alaska with.  I was flattered that he would consider me and told him I would love to! A few weeks after the show, Mike contacted me and we began the process of applying for tags. When I contacted Doug he informed me that he was just laid off and I would need to find another hunting partner. My first thought was to contact my brother Jason but he was not able to make the trip. Enter my brother Jared. We got Jared lined up with a flight from Philadelphia to Phoenix and he would help me drive up to Montana.
